The Concert returns with a tribute to Franco Cerri
August 14 was a very special event for many years. In the gardens of Numana begins the magic of Music, Emotions and strong public participation. For many years the special guest was Maestro Franco Cerri.
Yes, just him, that man soaking kind and polite. Nice never intrusive. Smiling and friendly. Reassuring and polite. And an excellent musician! Almost a grandfather to me.
When he would take me under his arm and tell me a few things, we would walk and laugh. He would talk and I would listen. I really felt I was talking to my grandfather Benito, he was talking and never bragging. In his stories there was the history of music.
Then in winter she would call me to find out how I was and if I wasn’t on my cell phone she would call home and find my grandmother and talk to her.
I have many memories of Franco and this year in Numana I will miss him, as I miss my grandfather.
